#GoodTimes
The walk was bloody killing my feet but my energetic wife was speeding ahead. Who ever said this was a good idea? Certainly not me. I enjoyed the history and getting the Facebook pictures (Me and Gail doing the Great Wall of China trail. #GoodTimes) as much as anyone else but I wasn’t exactly Usain Bolt.
“Oh Stephen, keep up!”, Gail laughed.
“My knees are killing me!”
“Stop moaning!”, she grinned.
We finally made it to the end and went to a nearby cafe for some iced drinks. Probably my favourite part of today. Gail snapped a quick shot of me with her phone.
“Do not put that up on Facebook!”, I warned with a smile.
“Already have.”, she grinned.
“Three likes in seconds babe.”
“Let me guess, the lads.”
The lads being my three mates from down the pub in Dublin. Yeah, they would love it!
“Spot-on.”, she smiled.
In response to the What Pegman Saw writing prompt:

I missed a few of the What Pegman Saw prompts which I plan on catching up on over time so watch this space for those. 🙂
She’s steps ahead both online and off! Nice exchange of the differences of these two. Great to see you!
Thank you Karen. 🙂
I like the oblique take on the prompt. You capture our obsession with social media very neatly and elegantly!
Thank you Penny. 🙂
Good take on the prompt. Everybody now is checking their phones on the Great Wall, I imagine.
Thank you. 🙂
How very true of today’s society! We are so busy putting it out there in social media, we barely have time to enjoy the ride, so to speak…
Thanks for reading Dale. 🙂
Love their relationship – you show this very clearly. Nicely done
Thank you Lynn. 🙂
My pleasure
Since Usain Bolt is a sprinter, long distance endurance wouldn’t be his forte either.
Thank you for reading. 🙂
Dear Lisa,
Fun story and a commentary on our society. Must post those pics to social media. 😉 I’m as guilty as the next person.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you Rochelle. 🙂
Ha! you captured their relationship nicely. One’s in good shape, one not so much. Love the social media angle. Since I’d rather have my shirt caught on fire than my picture taken, there are very few snaps of me to post anywhere.
Thanks so much Alicia. 🙂
Got a bit of a chuckle for that one! Oh, the ribbing he’s gonna get when they get home, though. hehe.
Thank you for reading. 🙂
Haha! The first thought he had was, Oh! She’s going to post it online!
