Here are my five suggestions for next week in advance. Enjoy! 🙂
Social Issues
First up we have episode 33 in Crash Course’s brilliant Black American History series. In this episode Clint Smith talks about Brown V. Board and how discriminating the education system was towards black people. Clint discusses about how many schools preferred to shut down all together rather than let black children go to their schools and talks about how the discrimination affected black people mentally, emotionally and physically. It is a very interesting episode and Clint speaks about how even when decisions were starting to somewhat progress in practice it wasn’t always working and about how a lot of black people faced further discrimination because there was progress that a lot of white people didn’t like being made. An amazing watch.
