5 Videos To Watch This Week On YouTube!

Hi everybody! 🙂

I am back with another 5 video suggestions post for you today:

Social Issues

This very interesting video by Vox explores the problematic history of casting predominantly white actors in the roles of Asian characters. The fact it ever happened and the fact it happens still today is an utter disgrace.

Books

I am listening to a lot of Agatha Christie audiobooks while I am writing at the moment. This short story was one of Agatha’s books I hadn’t heard of before but of course it’s brilliant. David Suchet and Hugh Fraser who are pretty much the ones I mostly think of as Poirot and Hastings due to the TV adaptations are performing and narrating.

Drag/TV

Season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is starting soon and recently we met the queens who will be participating. It seems like a great cast. I of course have a few early favourites but they all seem cool.

History/Mythology/Supernatural

Christmas is coming so it seems a good time to watch a bit about the history of Krampus, Saint Nick’s nemesis. It was really interesting to hear the history of Krampus as I do not know much about them and learning about all the countries who have celebrations which are Krampus-related.

Music

From 1973’s Top of the Pops here is the Christmas classic Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade. Very fun tune.

5 Videos To Watch This Week On YouTube!

Hi everyone! 🙂

Here is five more video suggestions to watch on YouTube this week.

Music

Here is a classic Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley. Good cheesy fun and I think the bar person in the music video is brilliant.

I was a huge fan of Steps when I was younger so this brings back memories! Here they are with Deeper Shade Of Blue. Great music and love the outfits.

Music/TV

I love the Eurovision Again idea and was very pleased to see 1990 being one the years shown as that is when I was born. Such an entertaining show. Years gone on and all but Liam, you done us proud! 🙂

Books/Supernatural

This video from Slapped Ham presents books which are thought to be cursed and speaks about the history and the stories which surround them. I don’t believe in it all but I still don’t think I would like to read them or own them all the same! 🙂

History

This is the first part of an animated video showing the history of The French Revolution from OverSimplified. A really informative and entertaining way to learn history indeed. Very creative.

5 Videos To Watch This Week On YouTube!

Firstly my apologies for not having this section up as regularly as usual. I have been doing NanoWriMo and it has took over! 🙂 So I will be putting up a few of these posts during the week to make up for that so expect lots of video suggestions. 🙂

True Crime

In this episode of Buzzfeed Unsolved Ryan and Shane talk about the very puzzling and interesting case of The Mary Celeste.

Mythology

In this episode of Monstrum Emily Zarka looks at the Nuckelavee from Scottish mythology. Monstrum is a great series which I came across recently and combines a great mixture of supernatural, literature and history and this episode is no different. A great watch.

History

In this episode of Geographics (another great series along with Biographics which I have come across recently) Simon Whistler talks about the tragic history of The Tower Of London.

Relaxation

Another very relaxing video by Sarai from Peace and Saraity Asmr with invisible scratching, audio scratching, scraping and raking of all your stress and tension.

In this video from Maddie from Mads Asmr, she repeats one of her signature relaxation techniques of taking a look at something which has got stuck in your eye. Very relaxing and I have definitely needed to relax with NaNoWriMo.

5 Videos To Watch This Week On YouTube!

Hi everyone! 🙂

It is that time of the week again. Here is my five suggestions to watch on YouTube this week:

Social Issues

Lately I am getting into watching TikTok compilations and I’m especially drawn to compilations which deal with social issues and showing the everyday prejudice/ignorance that goes on in society in both a thought-provoking and entertaining way. This amazing compilation shows the shit trans people have to put up with. A brilliant compilation.

YouTuber Anthony Padilla does a series where he spends the day with people from many different walks of life and backgrounds. In this episode, he is talking with asexual people. Really great episode with lots of personal stories and information from a really great series.

Music

Here is a song we all probably need a lot right now and in general to be fair. An absolutely stunning performance of What The World Needs Now by the legand Dionne Warwick from 1966.

I have been a huge fan of Alanis Morissette for years and this is a classic music video by her. Love the song, love the video, I present to you all Ironic by Alanis Morissette.

Supernatural

On this episode of Buzzfeed Unsolved Supernatural, Ryan and Shane talk about the Lizzie Borden murders when they visit the house where the murders took place to see if there is any ghosts there. Really interesting but watch it in the daytime! 🙂
