Me Trying To Be All Agatha Christie On Soundcloud With My Story Murderous Mazes!

Agatha Chritie has been a really huge inspiration to me in my writing!

Agatha Chritie has been a really huge inspiration to me in my writing!

I have started putting up extracts from my story Murderous Mazes which is inspired by Agatha Christie’s writings. Since I was a kid I have loved Poirot and Marple and recently Tommy and Tuppence.

She has been one of the most influential writers to me and Murderous Mazes would not exist without her so thank you so much Agatha! It is about two cops Benjamin and Jake and their search to find Mr. Westwood’s son’s killer whose yacht they are abroad. He has been killed a year before. There is also romantic elements with Benjamin’s romantic endeavors with Craig and to a lesser extent Emily. I hope you like it. 🙂

My Fashion Interview on Soundcloud With My Sister Sharon Reynolds!

Sharon likes the Oriental style!

Sharon likes the Oriental style!

I posted part of my college interview with my very talented, interesting and wonderful sister Sharon about many things including her time as a Stock Operative, her love of style and what she thinks of the fashion industry.

We had great fun doing it and she is such an interesting person who I have learned so much from over the years. I know I’m bias but it’s true! She’s the best sister anyone could ever ask for.

James Byron Interviewed In The Monograph Magazine!

James Byron was recently interviewed in The Monograph!

James Byron was recently interviewed in The Monograph!

James Byron was recently interviewed in East Midlands Music Magazine The Monograph which I hadn’t heard of before but am now a bit obsessed with. I’ve been reading a lot of their articles on the web. It’s a good read. If you love music like I do, you should definitely check it out. 🙂

In the interview he discusses various different things from his experience on The Voice, his love of Janis Joplin, his band OutCry and how he auditioned for The Voice before in 2011.

It is a very interesting article written by Jessamyn Witthaus and James comes across really interesting in it. The photograph of James which accompanied the article was by Scott Choucino and it was shot really well.

The Fabulous Brendan McCahey Wins The Voice of Ireland!

The amazing Brendan McCahey won The Voice of Ireland tonight!

The amazing Brendan McCahey won The Voice of Ireland tonight!

The fabulous Brendan McCahey tonight scooped the title of The Voice of Ireland winner. McCahey, who is living in Cavan, sang  ‘Can’t Judge A Book’ by The Strypes and did a duet with the lovely Jerry Fish in the final to secure his win.

The 39-year-old, who was part of Team Bressie, was originally turned down by producers of the show this year but gained one of the coveted 2FM wildcards to get to the blind auditions stage of the competition where his savvy mentor was the only one to turn around and he then went on to receive two tens, the only two tens of the series, for his semi-final performance of Sam Smith’s Stay With Me.

Mentor Bressie said proudly Brendan tonight,

“The only thing Brendan hasn’t done is gangster rap. You are ready to record an album, you are that good.”

Dolores O’ Riordan’s act Kellie Lewis came second, Jamelia’s act Laura May Lenehan finished third and Bressie’s other finalist Jaime Stanton finished 4th.

Congrats Brendan and Bressie! Very well-deserved guys! 🙂

My First Extract From My Novel Percy Up on Soundcloud!

I found this image on Google and it’s how I see Percy in my head. 🙂

I have just started putting up extracts on my new writing soundcloud. My mum and sister have been in stitches at me doing these impressions of fictional dogs I created for a while and have encouraged me to put them up and to write about them so they are now up on Soundcloud and I am currently writing a book called Percy about their adventures. There is two Chichihuas Percy, the main character or protagonist as he might prefer! 🙂 And Sniffletoes (Sniffy), French Bulldog Bert and their owner Mrs. Raven who shows more love for Sniffy and Bert.

Please check it out if you have time. I would love to know what you think of it! 🙂

Shutthefrontdoor Wins The Irish Grand National At Fairyhouse!

So much I know! 🙂 The Irish Grand National was won today by the favourite Shutthefrontdoor with Meath jockey Barry Geraghty on board.

It is the first time that Geraghty has won the Irish National in his home county despite major success in many prestigious races including his recent win this year aboard Jezki in the Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy at Cheltenham and a Topham Chase win aboard Ma Filleule at Aintree respectively for trainers Jessica Harrington and Nicky Henderson. Both of which I had done. Wish I had today’s too! 🙂

Jonjo O’Neill trained Shutthefrontdoor and Geraghty stood in for the suspended Tony McCoy to win aboard by three-quarters of a length.

O’ Neill said,

“He was in a great position all the way and jumped really well. Everything went right for him. He has done nothing wrong all season. He had a great run at Chelthenham and after that we thought this was the race for him. Plan B didn’t work out too badly! He will have good rest and is hopefully okay and we can look forward to next season. He needed a big leap at the last, he got it and battled on really well.”

While Geraghty said:

“I’ve never even got close so to win it is brilliant. I thought turning in that I would win and then I was outpaced from the second-last, but going to the last I was getting going and I knew he was meeting it on a good stride a long way off. It means an awful lot – it’s brilliant.”

His owner J P McManus said,

“It’s a great race to win. Full marks to Jonjo, Barry and all the team at Jackdaws. It’s an exciting day. It’s disappointing for AP that he’s not here today as I’m sure he would have picked this horse. I wish both of them could have rode it but I feel sorry for AP that he’s not here.”

Congrats to all concerned! 🙂

The top 5 finished as follows:

1. Shutthefrontdoor

2. Golden Wonder (My sis had this horse! It was heartbreaking!)

3. Saoirse Dun

4. Jamsie Hall

5. Folsom Blue

Love Jamsie Hall and Folsom Blue. My two little pets! 🙂
