The Best Style From The Met Ball!

The Met Ball is always a highlight on the fashion calender with all the stars coming out in all their finery and this year’s gala, set as always in New York, was no exception as the stars shone once again. Here is my picks of the best dressed on the big night.

David and Victoria BeckhamImage

Arriving hand-in-hand the couple wore matching outfits as Victoria went for a strapless cream floor-length dress which she designed herself and she paired her stunning dress with a simple matching bracelet and earrings while her hubby went for a cream blazer which he paired with black trousers and a black bow tie which ensured that he looked incredibly stylish.

Kendall Jenner Image

It is brilliant when someone attends such a prestigious event representing the fashion from the high street and ok, it was a custom made Topshop dress but it was still Topshop. And Kendall Jenner looked absolutely stunning in it. It was one of the best outfits from the night. She teamed the gold stunning dress with a matching clutch and a sparkling necklace. Perfection.

Neil Patrick Harris And David Burtka Image

Actor Neil Patrick Harris and his fiance David Burtka looked dapper in matching crop top tuxes paired with long tails. Neil wore a black and white tuxedo and a floor-length black blazer which cropped just above his stomach and fell behind his back in two sets of tails. He also wore eyeliner adding a touch of rock ‘n’ roll to the look while his fiance wore a checkered coat teamed with striped pants.

Matt Bomer

Matt Bomer always looks stylish and for the Met Ball this year he arrived in Calvin Klein Collection looking just as stylish as ever in a perfectly crafted and understated suit.

Who was your best dressed from this year’s Met Ball?

The Grammys 2014!

Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert, Madonna and Queen Latifah were joined by numerous gay and straight couples who were getting married.

Congratulations to all the couples who got married.

Oh there's the lad who nearly set me off crying! I'm so happy for everyone!

The 56th Grammy Awards took place recently and were presented by the very cool LL Cool J and the show was opened by Beyonce unleashing her Sasha Fierce side as she performed with Jay Z singing “Drunk in Love”. One of the highlights. It was amazing. Their such a sweet couple too.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won four awards and performed with Mary Lambert Same Love which was the highlight of the show when numerous couples, both gay and straight, got married and Madonna came on to sing a bit of Open Your Heart too and Queen Latifah spoke. I seen one of the lads crying with happiness that got married. The whole thing was so sweet. Congratulations to all the couples who got married.

Another highlight was Pink and Nate Ruess. Pink came down doing acrobatics before dancing with a hot man. Lucky old Pink and then followed that up by singing with the beautiful Nate Reuss. Oh Pink, I’m jealous! Totally jealous! And totally in admiration on every score!

Ringo Starr sang solo and also with Paul McCartney. The Beatles were one of the acts that won a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lorde won song of the year for Royals and she also performed the song at the ceremony while Carole King and Sara Bareilles dueted together before presenting that award.

The very handsome Neil Patrick Harris introduced Daft Punk’s performance with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder which got everyone up on their feet. Beyonce was grooving.

Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, Anna Kendrick and Jared Leto were also on presenting duties. Leto paid tribute to Lou Reed and presented Metallica for their performance of “One”.
