The Shakespearean Tarot (1993) by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki is a fun book.
I am not a believer in astrology but I do find these books really fun and the added literature element makes this book really unique. I am not a huge Shakespeare fan either but I love how literature and astrology were combined here and it is really interesting and fun. I was very entertained by the book. The writing is great and the illustrations by Paul Hardy really add to the atmosphere of the book.
I think someone with a belief in astrology would be more suited to say whether in an astrology sense this was useful to them but for someone who isn’t I did find the book really interesting and a fun way to pass a few reading sessions. Very enjoyable and creative. I have heard the card deck with this book is beautiful but I did purchase this book from a charity shop and the cards weren’t with my book. I think the deck is the pictures in the book which are in black and white in the book but the cards have the colours on them. I did get an idea of how they look through the book and a few I seen online though and they seem amazing. I very much enjoyed the book. The way astrology combined with the stories in Shakespeare were very well done and everything was very engrossing throughout.
Great read with great illustrations.
I apologise as the only copy of this I could find online is really expensive and can be found on Amazon. I hope you can find a less expensive version but I wanted to tell you about my experience with the book nonetheless.
