Friday Fictioneers: New Year, New Boots

New Year, New Boots

Those boots were a symbol. The new year dawning. Another year, another opportunity to stand on your own two feet, to put yourself in other peoples’ shoes, to walk the path of life in your own individual way.

Another year to make new memories and footprints, to make long strides, short strides and those inbetween. To make steps towards a future and more steps away from the past.

To keep going but to stop and absorb. To be content in your shoes and live life as your best self. These boots were made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do …
