Journalist, television presenter and model Peaches Geldof has died today aged just 25.
The mother-of-two young sons who was married to S.C.U.M band member Thomas Cohen and was daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates and sister to Pixie Geldof, Fifi Trixabelle Geldof and Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence was found by police at her home in Wrotham in Kent, at 1.35pm. Kent Police said that her death was ‘sudden’ and ‘unexplained’.
Her husband Thomas Cohen said:
“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever. Thomas, Astala and Phaedra Geldof-Cohen.”
Her father Bob said in his sad statement:
“Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.'”
A prolific tweeter, her last tweet was at 10.17am yesterday accompanied with a photograph of her and her late mother Paula.
A spokesman for Kent Police said:
“Police were called to an address in Wrotham, Kent, following reports concerning the welfare of a 25-year-old woman. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance Service. At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden. They are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.”
She leaves behind two sons, Astala Dylan Willow, 20 months, and Phaedra Bloom Forever, 10 months. Phaedra was born on April 24, 2013. This would have been the 54th birthday of her mother, Paula Yates.
May she rest in peace. My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with all her loved ones at this sad time especially her husband and two sons.
